After an initially positive experience with Carl when viewing, purchasing and collecting my car two weeks ago, I have discovered a number of frustrating issues. Amongst these are the boot catch which they were meant to repair not locking, the washer jets on the passenger side not working, the petrol cap very difficult to open and broken off from the attachment. (And it is not that I don't know how - I have bought exactly the same car as the one I had!!) I was taken aback when I first open the petrol flap to fill up - in over 40 years of driving I have never seen such dirt around the petrol cap. I am feeling disappointed as I have never had to check these issues when buying a second hand car and never thought of checking to see they all worked! Also discovered paint flaked off from the inner edges of the windscreen 'struts' that I am sure was not like that when I viewed the car. I'm hoping to view the photo Carl took when I took delivery of the car to check this. To be fair to MB Motors I have not been able to get to them to raise these and other issues with them due to my working arrangements. I will do so and hope to report a happy outcome. I also need to acknowledge MB Motors willingness to arrange and take the car through the MOT and give it to me with half a tank of petrol. So all in all the frustrations have taken the edge off buying a 'new' car.
