2010 Peugeot 207 cc Petrol Manual Convertible by rayb2403 • 22nd July 2019
This is actually my wife's car, it's the 2010 207 cc 1.6 petrol non turbo. It was purchased used from an approved Peugeot dealership, with low miles and fsh. The car has never broken down as such, however it drinks oil at a rate which would make a high performance car blush, but is within the parameters allowed by Peugeot, which is basically an oil change every 4 months.
It also seems to use a lot of coolant, I actually thought it must have a leak, but none to be found. Coil springs seem to break for fun, I know several other Peugeot/Citroen owners who complain of coil springs breaking, they basically break the little angular tail, so you you don't hear, or feel anything untoward. As I type this it's going into garage to have noise in gearbox investigated, with just under 60,000 miles is pretty unacceptable, and surprise, Peugeot don't want to know. First thing in the morning when started, there's what sounds like timing chain rattle, another known issue with this engine. Forgive me if this is nit picking, I have been driving Japanese cars for this past 15 years, and certainly to Toyota and Honda, this would be unacceptable. However many years I ago I had a couple of Peugeot 405's which were faultless. This is just an honest review, take from it what you will.
