2003 Renault Megane Petrol Manual 6 speed Hatchback by Luke McCorry • 18th March 2015
One of the best cars I've ever owned. 90k miles with nothing more than a MAF sensor, electric window regulator and boot catch (besides regular servicing). I picked the best engine in my opinion, the 2.0 VVT petrol with 6 speed manual gearbox. Averages 34MPG, road tax is a bit steep at £265 pa. It's very quick, sits just above 1000rpm in sixth gear at 40mph. Mine has lots of extras, panoramic glass roof, full black heated leather, climate control and keyless start. Ride can be a bit crashy with the upgraded wheels but they do look much better than the standard ones. I've bought many cars since, but still have the Mégane and have never found anything quite good enough to replace it permanently.

2003 Renault Megane Diesel Manual Hatchback by pudding pop • 23rd November 2014
These cars are crap if i could have given it 0 stars i would have, electrics crap car locking and opening itself all the time, i need a key fob to start it and a different 1 to lock it, my driver side door fell of and after fixing the problem it is almost ready to fall of again, my injectors have went twice in two weeks, only thing good about these cars is the cheap tax and easy on fuel, if cars goes over 45 it will shake and rattle no point on taking 1 of these onto motorway anyone thinking of buying 1 of these keep your money in your pockets as you will have nothing but problems with it and i have researched the problems and i am told they are all the same, BUY AN AUDI

2003 Renault Espace Petrol Automatic MPV by Gran • 2nd February 2013
Love this car, so roomy, lovely to drive, flexible layout, and light interior all make up for the low mpg. If you buy a well serviced old model, you won't be disappointed!

2003 Renault Avantime Petrol Automatic Coupe by Luke McCorry • 7th January 2012
A Renault what? That's the response you have to get used to when owning an Avantime. I understand there are about 5 of these in Northern Ireland, a very rare sight indeed... I had to have one.

Turns heads and attracts questions EVERYWHERE it goes, not a car for people who like to blend in. "Open air" mode opens all windows and the glass roof to make for a pillar-less coupé to attract even more attention. No journey is the same, it's a constant novelty driving the thing!

Being a 3.0 V6 Petrol, it's obviously no Prius to run, but the thing can move. 20 MPG can be seen if you're careful, road tax is £260 for the year. It's very impractical, despite being a huge car there's next to no rear legroom. Reliability is typically Renault. But really... who cares when you're driving one of the most distinctive, special and unique cars on the road? The Renault Avantime really is a hidden treasure, I'll never sell mine.

2003 Renault Laguna Diesel Manual 5 speed Sedan by Ryan • 20th December 2011
I have recently got my hands on 2003 Renault Laguna for an extremely good price as a run around while I look for a permanent car and I have to say it is definitely worth the money, there is plenty of room for the kids in the back. The fuel lasts a good while too probably getting around 45+ mpg out of it. The only thing I was let down with was its reliability on a couple of small things. Over all I was happy enough with this purchase.

2003 Renault Clio Petrol by Tolmeister • 19th December 2011
My first ever car was a Renault Clio. I only have very fond memories of it! The only reason I got rid of it was because I got a company car with my first real job.

It was a great wee car, fairly cheap to insure and tax, and easy on petrol. Very nice to drive, and while I kept it serviced well, never had any mechanical problems at all.

Mine was the "Expression" model, which wouldn't have had many of the fancy extras, but was still stylish and nice inside.

2003 Renault Clio by Andrew Goodman • 7th December 2011
As a daily Belfast commuter, it's great for getting me from A to B. Low insurance group, reasonably fuel efficient and few repairs required. It's reliable even in the harsh wintery conditions we seem to be bombarded with every year. I broke the sunroof, but who needs one of those in this weather :) Also my CD player keeps turning off and my temperature display constantly reads 29degrees, but as well, gives it a bit of personality!
