This car gives the smoothest ride from any I have experienced. Has 1.8 petrol engine that gives a lot of power, while the feel of it seems a bit different it goes like mad. Did 20k+ miles only service, discs and pads barely used (regenerative breaking). According to few mechanics: 'there is very little that can break in this car electric engine can go forever and petrol is not overly complicated'. I wish I didn't have to sell it. Friend of mine did 250k miles on gen I and he really tried to break it (used as taxi) but it just kept going without any big problems few minor ones.

Bought the car back in 2010 with 11k miles on the clock, now has 141k, still feels tight as a drum and still going strong on the original clutch which considering it has been used to teach people to drive is testimony to the build quality. In all that time the only things I've replaced has been the tyres and the wheel bearings. Extremely easy to drive although not the most comfortable car if pushed hard, but for a day to day drive in town it's unbeatable. I'll definitely be buying another one in the future.

I've owned my T2 estate for 6 years, bought at just over a year old with 11,000 on the clock. i've done another 70k in it and have 2 problems to report: the battery went at 50k (that can happen) and the sound system's LCD display sometimes doesn't work. The system works, but you've got to play with the buttons to get it to display what you're listening to, Other than that this car is flawless and does everything well. You love it for its sheer dependability, although if you're looking for something to get your pulse racing this is probably not it. I have it serviced every 10.000 miles and that's it. For the first few years I got 40mpg, that's dropped to 38.5 now but for a fairly large car being propelled by a relatively small petrol engine that's fine. VVTi revs well enough to pull out into traffic, and plenty of room for passengers and in boot. I expect to keep this car well past the 100k mark, and likely to replace with another the same. Would probably take advantage of the longer warranty now provided and buy a 3 or 4 year old car in that event.

Great car, We have been pleased with this car from new in 09. Its the Auto box and will at best do 40mpg. That aside we find it smooth quick and very well build. Service at toyota Portadown (Shellbourne) is 1st class with a great team. (No i dont work there). Car easy on tyres and breaks over the last 40k. we shall hold on to this one for a while longer.
