2003 Vauxhall Corsa Petrol Manual 4x4 by bmcc • 14th August 2016
before we left the yard we checked the oil, dip stick was clean/dry.
mistake by any simpleton ? NO . got it home checked oil no probs. driving a month now it leaks from the crank shaft says my grease monkey, just take out the engine & gearbox while you're their replace clutch it`s going to get messy in there, oh by the way did you know this is not the original engine of this car, YE WHAT!, aye the markings don't match up musta came from a scrap yard this one, god knows who died behind this ONE.
4 or 5 hundred will fix it same price as the car.

2003 Vauxhall Astra Diesel Manual Hatchback by Azzymo • 8th August 2014
Having driven a 03 1.7dti Astra for around 4 years I can look back and say that compared to most modern stuff I've owned the Astra was a good servant. Sure it is bland and gutless and no one will ever compliment you on your choice of car but on the other hand it will be dependable and functional. My model was the LS 5dr. There weren't that many toys, I think electric front windows were about as flash as it got. The only biggish thing to go on the car was the alternator, costing around £200 to put right. Everything else was straight forward wear and tear and servicing. The diesel engine is dead as a dodo but as it doesn't have a turbo you don't have a fear of an impending wallet bursting bill. MPG was decent, mostly early 50's. I don't think I'll ever look back and remember those Astra days as the best driving times in my life but they were some of the most trouble free. Don't start me on the modern Vauxhall diesels though..

2003 Vauxhall Vectra Diesel Manual 5 speed Hatchback by gjsteed • 17th January 2013
whats to say really, reliable, solid, comfy to drive, loads of room ..i owned my vectra for around two years and sadly sold it a while back(moved to citroen)but its time now to start looking for another before they disapear for good...why buy your over priced and over rated vw/audi when vauxhall (in my eyes) are built just as well than any passat/golf/jetta

2003 Vauxhall Zafira Diesel Manual MPV by Susan James • 10th February 2012
I have a Vauxhall Zafira and absolutely love it. When I'm not using all the seats I put the back two down and have a huge boot.
I have high mileage on mine and still runs like a dream.
Very economical car and would buy another one.
