2007 Vauxhall Vectra Petrol Manual Saloon by IAN CAMPBELL • 18th May 2021
I have owned this car now for 3 years, apart from brakes and general servicing the car has not cost me alot of money at all. Reasonable MPG around 37 in summer and 35 in winter will do much better on a good long run. Comfortable car reasonable equipment and good handling the car is a reliable affordable big hatchback.

Had to replace the water pump rail, and abs unit plus handbrake cable which as well as the usual springs, tyres and battery worked out very expensive .It is expensive to tax as well at £300 per year.Fantastic boot room for carrying everything and comfortable driving position with good visibility.Maybe I was just unlucky but always worrying about what else would go wrong next.I never felt comfortable with no spare wheel available.

My first ever car, learned to drive in it, passed my test in it and even learned how to change a puncture with it. If you are starting out and want something easy to park, cheap to insure and cheap to run then this is the car.

I have my Vectra CDTI for 5 years and it is the best car I have ever owned. Very easy to fuel, Tax and insure. I have never had a days bother with it.
When I 1st purchased it I had planned to keep it for max 3 years - but 5 years later I still have it.
The SRI drives and handles well and has the looks to match.
This was my 1st Vauxhall having driven VW, Audi, Merc - and can safely say it wont be my last.
