Have had the 06 Jetta for over 5 years now. Was 15k miles on her then and there are 101k on her now and shes never given me a bit of bother - bar the brake management system failing within 50k.

Apparently this was a common fault in the various VW family different cars.
VW paid 100% parts 50% labour so I wasnt too annoyed.

Couple of minor things going wrong with her now, EGR valve is going to need replaced and ill have to get a new set of shocks for the suspension but nothing you wouldnt expect for the miles shes done.

Very sturdy, safe car - the doors weigh a tonne!

She doesnt have anywhere near the toys of a Passat - they are more like VW Golf's only with a rear end!

Volkswagen payed the dealer £4000 on warranty issues.

3 New Clutches + Fly wheels
1 New Ignition Lock
1 New Complete Injector Set
Fuel Door repaired
1 New Headlight Control Unit

I spent £800 on suspension parts and fitting, to get through the first MOT.

I put 131,000 miles, on it, but it broke my heart.

I have had a 1.9 Jetta for 3 years now and it has never given any trouble, unlike my mate with the 2.0 Jetta. Comfortable, reliable and easy to run.

I have driven my Jetta now for 3 years and it has never let me down. It was only ever in a Garage to be serviced. It is comfortable and looks good. My Husband still drives the VW Bora we had prior to the Jetta and again has no complaints and it is now 8 years old.

I have drove a VW Jetta for 4 years and never had it in the garage once other than to service it. Comfortable, reliable and easy to look after. It looks good too.

bought a 2007 jetta and its spent more time in the garage than on the road. terrible car i will sell it as soon as its fixed. i do not recomend these cars at all
