Had to replace the water pump rail,and abs unit plus handbrake cable which as well as the usual springs,tyres and battery worked out very expensive .It is expensive to tax as well at £300 per year.Fantastic boot room for carrying everything and comfortable driving position with good visibility.Maybe I was just unlucky but always worrying about what else would go wrong next.I never felt comfortable with no spare wheel available.

Bought one of these cars brand new. Worst mistake off my life. Absolutely no power and found it difficult to pass a tractor. Only place this car liked was pulling into a petrol station which was every other day. Rubbish mpg. Had problems after 6 mths and found vauxhall warranty a real hassle as they tryed to wash there hands of every problem. Was recalled twice due to same other cars bursting into flames. Engine management light was on more than off which resulted in a loss of power and other electrical problems. Final straw was when power steering packed in. Honestly have to say the best thing about this car was the day I locked the doors for the last time outside the garage that I traded it in when I lifted the best car I've ever had which was a Nissan qashqai +2.

Good reliable family car and value for money.. Driving a 2006 xafira active for 6 years and very reluctant to sell as i encountered no problems with car.. Would recommend for families :-)

nothing but trouble with this car electical problems constantly , worst MPG i have ever had , i would never buy a vauxhall again , unfortunatley i have to stick this one out for an other couple of years , lesson learned ,stay away from these cars

We've had our 1.6 petrol manual Zafira since it was 3 years old (ex-Motability car). 70,000 miles in 5 years and still on original clutch, and exhaust. It does about 38 mpg, which isn't bad for a big car. Running costs have been minimal - timing belt / water pump, tyres, brake pads etc. The AC has packed up, probably needs a new condensor but we can live without it - it wasn't great when working anyway. It doesn't rattle or leak. My wife loves it, great family car which we plan to hold on to for as long as we can.

Firstly i have a reason for giving a good Score as i sell mostly Zafira's but this is not a sales pitch.The best thing i can say is Value For Money,and that is both petrol and Diesel versions.Most practical in regards to quick seat adjustment and the middle set on a sliding rail is excellent for extra boot space.1.9 Diesel has some minor issues (egr Valves,Flywheels)but then again every modern diesel car has the same issues and at least they are not a total fortune to get fixed.New 1.7 diesel is a big improvement.Petrols go for 1.6 as 1.8 can be a bit thirsty .Overall having sold 100s of these i can only highly praise them as not an alternative to the overpriced Ford and VW equivelents but as a much smarter and wiser investment which wont break the bank.

We owned a zafira for four years and found it to be a very reliable, comfortable and economical car with loads of room. We will definitely buy another Zafira.

I have owned my diesel Zafira for five years and it has served me very well. It is very roomy with a huge boot. The two extra seats in the boot have come in handy on numerous occasions and are easily put up and down. Our family has had great use of this car.

I OWNED THIS CAR FOR TWO MONTHS DROVE LIKE A VAN FELT LIKE A VAN NEEDED TO OWN A PETROL STATION TO RUN THIS. NO STORAGE FOR A PEOPLE CARRIER WORST CAR I EVER OWNED WENT BACK TO MAZDA
