Description
Gorgeous Triumph Dolomite sprint!
A Giovanni Michelotti designed car which was a game changer for Triumph at the time.
Our 1977 example is presented in stunning Inca yellow with contrasting black vinyl roof, tinted glass and a corded velour interior.
The body work has been subject to a recent fully documented overhaul and respray and presents exceptionally well with only minor blemishes to to note from being used and enjoyed. The paintwork has a deep shine to it and in our opinion is the only colour to have.
Inside, the interior is original and presented amazingly with very little wear to show for the 98500 miles covered. The cloth seats and carpet are excellent and the wood trim is crack free. All the instruments, switches and knobs work as they should.
At the time this 2 litre engine had an ingenious 16-valve cylinder head giving the car nearly 130 BHP. Having driven this vehicle for many miles now I can confirm and an absolute blast on the road with its freshly rebuilt engine running beautifully with a smooth gear change and fully functioning overdrive. It's one of the best driving 80s car I have driven!
. the Sprint must be the answer to many people's prayer. It is well appointed, compact, yet deceptively roomy. Performance is there in plenty, yet economy is good and the model's manners quite impeccable . Most important of all, it is a tremendously satisfying car to drive.
Motor magazine July 73
A fantastic opportunity to acquire a now very rare car.
Priced keenly at
£14,950
