Vehicle Description
2nd owner for 33 years (from 6500 miles onwards)

Original 1987 blue/silver injection special (Reg DUI 1279), converted to X-Pack specification in 1997. Further restoration inclusive of brakes, split rim alloys, interior and colour change to current spec in 2004. (Reg change to CUI 363). Engine has remained at factory spec with addition of performance air filter and full system Janspeed exhaust in mild steel. Final Reg change to UUI 1551 following retention of CUI 363 in 2018. Further updated in 2023 with replacement Janspeed stainless steel system from manifolds back. LSD has had oil and seals replaced twice, 2004 and 2023. Oils, filters, plugs and fluids have been changed regularly along with fuel system as required. Suspension has been lowered to facilitate X-Pack appearance with front springs, blocks to rear and polyurethane brushes. Brakes are uprated with Hi-spec 4 pot calliper conversion, drilled discs and EBC pads with 9-inch rear drums retained. All hoses (stainless) and pipes replaced as required.

Although the vehicle is visually striking and always inspires interest, at 37 years old inevitably there are some areas on the body/paint work that would benefit from attention. In addition, the heater motor has recently failed. (This is all reflected in price). However, it is structurally and mechanically sound as evidenced by the recent work carried out at the respected specialist Kris Duprey's garage in September 2023 (£3000) and continues to deliver an authentic period driving experience.

In my ownership I have enjoyed a lifetime of memories and, as is increasingly the case, with complexity and electrification, there are few if any such examples left on the road, especially in X-Pack form, for the enthusiast to enjoy.
