I purchased this car with high hopes for a reliable vehicle, bearing in mind it was only six years old. It came with a warranty, thankfully, as throughout my six month ownership of the vehicle, it presented many problems. It was returned for repairs on many occasions throughout the six months and it fell seriously short of the car I thought I had bought. Furthermore, I found a list of previous receipts for work done on the car before I purchased it. If this car had not been under warranty it would have cost me approx. £1000 throughout those six months not accounting for the continual inconvenience. After several complaints to the dealer, they eventually agreed to buy the car back of me as a gesture of goodwill, far short of its value and their responsibilities, and with a substantial deposit lost. The car passed MOT in April 2018 but the mechanic informed me that the track rod would need replaced in the future. It was returned to the local Nissan dealer on the full expectation that it was going to auction and any buyer would be fully informed of all the issues with it. I was surprised and disappointed to find it advertised at approx. £1500 more than the value it was one week ago, and that the dealer will profit twice from a seriously faulty vehicle. I may have lost money purchasing this vehicle but I have my integrity, which is more than I can say for the dealer in question. In my honest opinion, any buyer should avoid unless they have been fully informed of all the faults it has presented within the last 6-12 months.

The Nissan qashqai in particular, and indeed the entire range of vehicles that Nissan produce, all have a well deserved reputation for affordability and reliability.
I have driven various Nissan cars for the past 40 years and will continue to do so for the next 40.

Bought 2008 teckna,in may 2011 worst car I've ever bought. Fault after fault. Dpf filter issues from day one, new dpf and exhaust fitted after 3 months, first yearly service cost me £500, been in garage every few months with various problems. To top it all engine and turbo blew up in Oct 13. Had to b replaced with new parts. Charles Hurst paid for most.i had to pay labour.serious repair bills.stay clear and stay clear of Charles Hurst. Worst car and dealer in the country.

This is my first time to buy a Nissan. I opted for 2.0dci engine as after test drive of smaller 1.5dci found it slightly underpowered and the engine bit rattily. Having covered over 60k apart from regular servicing I have had no major issues. I am in process of changing and will be having a look at 1.6dci.

Bought a 2007 Qashqai 1.6 Acenta a couple of years ago, my wife gets 33mpg on average and i dont think shes ever been over 40mph, so i am very happy with economy. Very comfortable and plenty of leg room for the kids in the back. All in all, i recommend it for anyone looking a good reliable and spacious family car.

Have a March 2011 Qashqai 1.5 dCi 110 Acenta, so far its been mediocre. The overall driving experience is smooth but its rolls far too much in the corners and you feel like your going to fall off the seats due to lack of support in them. The 1.5 dCi cannot cope with such a big car, it really struggles out on the open roads, wish I opted for the 2.0 dCi instead.. Running costs aren't good, for a PURE DRIVE model I think 37mpg is far from impressive, costs £90 to fill it at Sainsburys too and I only get 550miles to a full tank. Reliability seems ok, encountered a cold start the other morning (04/12/2011) and it really struggled to turn over, then it did start and stalled, hope this wont continue! In terms of love rating, this car has not turned out to be what I expected, therefore I can't say I love it!
