2014 Volvo V40 Diesel Manual Hatchback by Private Seller • 16th February 2016
I had a BMW 318 as a company car before I purchased this Volvo and I love it! Been driving it for 6 months now. Really like how it holds the road, nice look and feel inside. Comfy seats, much better on snow and ice! It does sit low to the ground with large wheels so you do feel the drive more ( which may not suit all) plenty of space for my kids in the back but maybe not great leg room for adults. Fuel economy is fantastic with consistently over 60mpg which was the initial reason we looked at this car. No tax and same insurance, they also seem to be holding their value well. Only thing I miss is the heated seats !
2013 Volvo V40 Diesel Manual Hatchback by SK • 7th March 2013
I have recently taken delivery of the new V40 as a company car. Volvo are replacing the V30 & V50 models with this compact family hatchback. The first 2,000 miles have been good with an economical return of just over 50mpg. The cabin is well equipped with clever storage options and good overall comfort for the driver and passenger. The boot is however limited in size and leg room in the back for adults is also a slight issue.
The 1.6 diesel is efficient without sports like performance, although with £0 road tax and falling within a low company tax band suits my needs. Overall the V40 should provide more competition for the likes of the BMW 1 Series, VW Golf and Audi A3.
