X3 is a smart looking vehicle, roomy and a lovely driving and responsive car. Fuel around 42 mpg sometimes more depending on the driver. Insurance not crazy either. ( based on drivers history of course.)

Has all the same appeal as the X5 from the exterior but half the running costs and up keep cost. We owned one for 2 years and never skipped a beat, hard to change out of to another car now as we always compare it against the quality of the X3.

Drove a 320D M sport for 3 years and I loved it. Really easy on fuel even on short journeys or with a full load. Never let me down, no repairs to it and went through MOT both times without any work done to it. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Gutted to sell it but have to change to a jeep to tow horses

Have owned many of this brand for over 30 years but the build quality has definitely diminished. Probably down to the quantity of cars produced. The rear windows needed replacement motors after only a year, having never even been used, the alloy wheels after 9000 miles were starting to tarnish. Needed Bmw assist when the car would not start... the recovery guy knew exactly what it was , having fixed dozens of cars and had a van full of parts. A diesel valve appeared to be the problem.. the interior light also fell out whilst driving. All fixed under warranty but still a pain. Have sold the car and glad to be rid,,
